Jean was born in Hortense Georgia the daughter of the late J. Eugene Dubberly and the late Blanche Pearson Dubberly. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Reppard “Rep” Pearson and Martha Jane Strickland Pearson; paternal grandparents, Otis Dubberly and Nellie Anderson Dubberly; also a brother, Sheldon Dubberly.
Left to cherish the fond memories of Jean are her two daughters, Debbie Floyd Sanders (Chad) of Telford, TN and Cyndi Flyod; her three grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Jared, Carley, and Madison Sanders; her lifelong friend and cousin, Sybil Strickland.
Jean was a native of Hortense, Georgia but resided in Waycross, Georgia most of her adult life. She was a former member of Twin Baptist Church in Hortense and was a current member of the First Baptist Church in Waycross. She was a lady with a strong faith and enjoyed cooking. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Jean will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Due to the current pandemic, a private family graveside will be held in Hortense cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate the life of Jean.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Waycross Health and Rehab for their professional and compassionate care given to Jean. Jean enjoyed being a resident and participating in the activities there.
