Jaymie was born December 10, 1977 in Indianapolis, IN. She was a 1996 graduate of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. She was a Hoosier girl for 37 years of her short life. She married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Mark, on August 25, 2001 and they were blessed with three wonderful children. They moved to southeast Georgia in 2014 and have made Saint Simons Island their home for the past seven years.
Jaymie earned her Bachelor in Science degree in early education from IU-PUI, Indianapolis which led to a span over many years working as a teacher, along with various administrative positions. Jaymie was a devoted mother and wife. During her free time she enjoyed vacationing with her family. They will always have many memories cruising, attending concerts, time spent on the family boat, and spending time on the beach, which was her “Happy Place”. She also had a passion for gardening and enjoyed tending to her flowers. She also loved supporting her kids in their extracurricular activities – football, wrestling, orchestra, band, and cheerleading. She had a unique way of connecting with people and making friends almost instantly, both young and old. She also loved her little dachshund, Heidi Girl. Jaymie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 19 years, Mark Lehrkamp; her three wonderful children, Trenton, Taryn, and Treysen Lehrkamp; her mother, Frankie Ross; her sister, April McNamara; her father and mother–in- law, Robert and Diane Lehrkamp; a sister-in-law, Sarah Gulig (Joe); several nieces and a nephew, Carter, Madison, Mattie, and Victoria. Also mourning her loss is her little dachshund, Heidi Girl. Jaymie was preceded in death by her step father, Victor Ross.
