Jackie Rose McDonald died on August 27, 2013. Jackie was born on April 7th, 1924, in Tarboro, GA, graduating from Camden County High School as her class valedictorian, after which she attended Valdosta State College. She had been retired for many years after many years of service as Administrative Coordinator at Rentavision.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Rose of White Oak, GA, and her husband, Clarence McDonald of Brunswick, who died in 1970. She is survived by her five children, David, of Rocky Face, Georgia; Jonathan, of Swannanoa, North Carolina; Rose Everett, of Euless, Texas; Stephen and Michael, of Brunswick; ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grand children, and a sister, Libby Dzamko of Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
Jackie was born to serve. She served her family with great love and devotion. She served her Lord and Savior through First Presbyterian Church as a leader in a multitude of capacities. She also constantly celebrated her life in Christ.
A visitation will take place on Friday evening, August 30th from 6-8PM in the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 31st at First Presbyterian Church at 12:00 PM with the Reverend Dawn Mayes officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made in lieu of flowers to the Jackie McDonald Fund at First Presbyterian Church.
