Hardy W. Self

Hardy Wayne Self, 61, of Hortense, GA passed away Sunday the 3rd of February 2013 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems Brunswick Campus. Graveside service will be held at Palmetto Cemetery, Wednesday the 6th of February 2013 at 2 PM, with R.L. “Budd” Wicker officiating. Honorary Pallbearers include: Kevin Enright, Douglas Tinsman, Bruce Cline, Rick Walters and James Calhoun.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, the 5th of February 2013 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home from 6 PM – 8 PM.

Hardy was born July 29, 1951 in Jacksonville, FL to Cecil E. Self, Sr. and Nancy Davis Self. He loved wood working, fishing, and animals. Mr. Self was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He attended Taylors United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his father: Cecil E. Self, Sr., and his brother: Cecil E. Self, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 17 years: Cindy Self of Hortense; his children: April Miller, Brandy Enright both of Hortense and Hardy Wayne Self, Jr. of Brunswick; two granddaughters: Emily and Alice Enright both of Hortense; his mother: Nancy Davis Self of Brunswick; his sister: Nicki Self Bolin of Darien; four nieces, two nephews and many other friends and relatives.
