Born in Blackshear, Georgia on November 15, 1939, George was the only son of Maude and James Bullard, and was known as Buddy to his sisters Gloria and Debbie Bullard. George graduated from Glynn Academy in Brunswick in 1958.
In 1962, George married the love of his life, Brenda Barbee Bullard. They were married for 52 years until Brenda’s passing in 2014. George was a proud member of the Acro Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. George’s pastimes included fishing, daily crossword puzzles and the Georgia Bulldogs.
George is survived by his four sons: James E. Bullard (Sonja), George Leon Bullard, Jr. (Rachel), Christopher Bullard, and Terrance E. Bullard (Christina Lee). He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Bradford Bullard, Ben Bullard, Baileigh Bullard, Kennedy Bramer, Griffin Bramer, Anne Patrick, Raelyn Bullard, Kami Lee and Zayn Bullard.
