Frank Seely Bessent

Frank Seely Bessent, 33, of Sterling, passed away on January 22, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Friday, January 29th, 2016 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Joiner officiating. Inurnment will follow at Chapel Park Cemetery.

He was born in Savannah, Georgia on October 13, 1982. Frank attended Southwide Christian Academy and graduated from Youth Challenge Academy. He resided in Palm Beach County (Florida), Brantley County and Glynn County (Georgia) throughout his life.

Frank is survived by his parents, Michael & Frances Bessent (Loxahatchee, Florida); his birth mother and stepfather, Gena & Gary Goss (Hortense, Georgia); spouse, Janice Burkhart Bessent (Brunswick, Georgia); stepdad, Randy Griffis (Brunswick, Georgia); stepbrother, Alan Goss (Brunswick, Georgia); his grandmother, June Herrington (Loxahatchee, Florida); special family member, Christina Rhymes (Sterling) and his newest addition, Chewy (his pet pig). Frank was predeceased by his brother, Joey Griffis. Frank is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends.

Frank was a kind hearted man with a passion for helping others and a true love for animals. Most recently, Frank enjoyed volunteering his time to give back to the community at The Well of FaithWorks Ministry. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's name to The Well of FaithWorks Ministry at 1101 Gloucester Street, Brunswick, Georgia 31520.
