She was born in Stuart, Oklahoma on February 28, 1928, to John M. and Florence U. Anderson. She was one of eight children. The family moved and the children were all raised in Stockton, California. She met her husband Harold F. Bullard in Stockton, and soon they moved to N.C., which was his home.
She had two children, Richard and Michael Bullard. She was married 53 years, and upon her husband’s death moved to Brunswick, Ga., to be close to her oldest son, Richard. She remained in Brunswick until her death.
Doris was an excellent seamstress, loved to bake, and read. After her cremation, her ashes will be returned to N.C. to be next to her husband.
She is survived by her oldest son, Richard Bullard and his wife Cheryl, one grandson, Jacob Bullard, and two sisters Anita Anderson and Peggy Crozier in California.
Doris was a member of the Golden Isles Christian Church and died at the Hospice of the Golden Isles. She loved life and was loved by many. She will be forever missed.
