Donna Jean Rainey

Donna was born June 11, 1955 in Brunswick, Ga to the late Conrad Earl Tipton and Carolyn Perry Tipton. She was a 1973 graduate of Glynn Academy. Donna was employed for 42 years at Southeast Georgia Health System in Information Systems Department and was Team Leader of the Telecommunications Department. She enjoyed painting, photography, spending time with family and friends. She was very proud to be called Nana by her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Rickey Rainey; her children, Erica Mobley and Chad Mobley (Jeannie), and step-daughter, Christy Rainey; her precious grandchildren, Lillian Grace, Cassie Leanne, Blair Elise, and Dylan Taylor; her sister Diane Tipton, her brother Mark Tipton (Michele), her sister-in-law, Sheron Wallace (Jack) of Greenville, S.C.; her father-in-law Theron Rainey of Anderson, S.C. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Edo Miller Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM in Edo Miller and Sons Chapel with Pastor Joe Carr officiating the service. The Burial will follow in Palmetto Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chad Mobley, Mark Tipton, Thomas “Butch” Faulkner, Wayne Paul, Dave Mock, and Sam Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of the Telecommunications and Information Systems Departments of Southeast Georgia Health System.
