Deanna Michelle Byrd, 54, of Waynesville, North Carolina, departed this life Friday, January 21, 2022 at Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, North Carolina. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Friday, January 28, 2022 at Bible Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Landrum officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery with Dusty Branch, Stoney Branch, Kipp Branch, Eric Branch, Jimmy D. Branch, and Shane Branch serving as pallbearers.
Born September 2, 1967 in Brunswick to Robert Wayne and Erma Jean G. Branch, she was a graduate of Bible Baptist Academy. Ms. Byrd was a mail carrier with the USPS in Waynesville, NC, and was a Winngray Campground host. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Brunswick. Deanna enjoyed driving around in the mountains, photography, hiking, nature, and travel. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Wayne Branch.
Survivors include her children, Shelby Byrd and Seth Byrd both of Athens, and Brittany Masters of Waynesville, NC, grandchildren, Killian Eli Ward and Aurora Shantrelle Deanna Justice, her mother, Erma Branch of Brunswick, a brother, Kirk Branch and wife Hannah of Darien, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday morning, January 28, 2022 from 10 am until the funeral hour at Bible Baptist Church.
