Charles Martin McElmurray, Sr., aged 86, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at his residence in Brunswick. Born on April 8, 1937, in Rebecca, GA, he was the son of the late Clarence E. McElmurray Sr. and Anna McCall McElmurray.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. Charles proudly served his country in the Air National Guards and dedicated many years of employment to Allied Chemical and LCP Chemical. He was a member of the Jekyll Island Baptist Chapel.
Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sandra McElmurray, he is also survived by his son, Charles M. McElmurray, Jr. of Brunswick, GA, and two daughters, Amy Rodea (Tomas) of Palm Coast, FL, and Mary Moscato (John) of Plymouth, NC. Charles is remembered by three grandchildren, Nicholas Rodea, Lindsey Rodea, and Morgan Whitten (Carl), as well as five great-grandchildren. His sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Ashford Pierce of Brunswick, GA, also survive him.
