Betty Sue Browning, 80, of Brunswick, formerly of Douglas, Georgia, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at SGHS Glynn. Memorial services will be held at 2PM Saturday, December 30, 2017 at First Wesleyan Church of Brunswick, with Rev. Phil Harrington officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the funeral hour at the church.
Born September 10, 1937 in Coffee County, Georgia to the late James K. and Eula Lee N. Bennett, she was a former waitress in Douglas for many years and a homemaker. Ms. Browning had been a resident of Glynn County since 1974, and was a member of First Wesleyan Church of Brunswick. She enjoyed sending greeting cards to friends and family and was avid at bible study. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Greg White, a sister, Mary Bledsoe, and four brothers, James, Earl, Fred, and Larry Bennett.
Survivors include four daughters, Debbie Clark (James), Judy Robinson (Ricky), Cindy Rentz, and Theresa White, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, three sisters, Peggy Grimes of Waynesville, Virginia Manning of Odessa, FL, and Joan Deen of Brunswick, and a brother Jack Bennett of Augusta.
