Bernadine Loretta Dedmon

Bernadine L. Dedmon, 89, of Townsend, departed this life Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Darien Church of God with Reverend Tommy Whaley officiating. Entombment will follow at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born in Emeryville, WV to the late Wylie William and Velma Anderson, she had been a resident of McIntosh County since 1965. She was a member of Darien Church of God. Mrs. Dedmon enjoyed fishing, crocheting, cooking, gardening and was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was the glue that held the family together. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Dale Peyton and Larry Dedmon, a granddaughter, Amber Rayhon, as well as six siblings.

Survivors include a son, Philip Peyton, of Cox, a daughter, Vickie Gore and husband William, of Belleville, four great grandchildren, Ashlyn Rayhon, Matt Wallace, Alex Wallace, and Jackson Rayhon, two great great grandchildren, David Alvarez III and Peyton Ryals, six sisters, Shirley Anderson, Helen Crouse, Janet Dye, Thelma Lacy, Barbara Welch, and Nancy Brady, two brothers, Bob Anderson and Ron Anderson, many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 1pm until the funeral hour at Darien Church of God. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. www.edomillerandsons.com
