Annie Olsen Udell of Saint Simons Island, Georgia entered into heavens gates on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the age of 23. Annie was born in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Kevin and Ashley Udell. Her family relocated to St. Simons Island when she was four years old. She was a 2016 graduate of Glynn Academy and attended the University of Georgia.
Annie was a young lady who felt deeply and always rooted for the underdog. She was extremely loyal to her family and friends. She lived in the moment, never missing an opportunity to admire a flower or inspect a butterfly. She took great pleasure in God’s incredible creations and would often run outside to see a full moon or a gorgeous sunset. Annie was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church at Frederica. She was always moved and inspired by music and would keep a tune in her thoughts at all times. She used her gift of creativity to write songs and take beautiful photos. Annie loved people unconditionally and had a wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish Annie’s memories are her parents, Kevin and Ashley Udell. A sister Claire Udell; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Sylvia Early; and paternal grandparents, Dan and Mary Udell. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins will also cherish her memories. Annie was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ann S. Early and her paternal grandmother, Patricia Udell.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Saint Simons Community Church with Pastor Mark Fritchman officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 3:00 PM before the service. The family cordially invites you to join them in celebrating Annie’s life, a life well lived. Casual attire is fine.
Annie had a heart for children, especially those who were underprivileged. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for memorial contributions made in Annie’s memory to either Communities in Schools or the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia.
