Reynaldo (Rey) Treviño, 77, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. He was born on August 2, 1934 in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico. He served his country honorably for 3 years in the U.S. army. He worked for 42 years at G.M. in Pontiac Michigan before retiring and moving to Brownsville. He was a member at Iglesia Bautista West Brownsville.
Mr. Treviño was preceded in death by his parents Jose F. and Maria Treviño; brother Jesus R. Treviño and step daughter Susan Sackrider.
Mr. Treviño is survived by his loving wife Juanita Treviño of Brownsville, 4 children Henry, Ray, Sonia and David Treviño; 5 step children Melinda (James) Flower, Janet Axtel, Nancy Gomez, Juanita (David) Echeverria and Jesus (Adriana) Gomez. Numerous grand children, great grand children, step grand children and step great grand children. 2 brothers, Jose Treviño, Carlos (Julia) Treviño, 3 sisters, Hortencia (Robert) Garcia, Lydia Salgado and Rosie Ramos; numerous nephews and nieces.
His family would like to extend their appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Luis Robles and his entire staff for their special care, support and kindness toward Rey.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 2pm to 10pm with a prayer service 8:30 pm officiate by Rev. Carlos Navarro .
Chapel service will be on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11 am with a committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park. Mr. Treviño will be buried with full military honors.
