He was born on January 13th, 1960 to Ramiro and Rosa Espinosa.
He was a 1979 graduate of Hanna High School, and of the University of Texas at Brownsville/Texas Southmost College with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice. He worked as a police officer with the Brownsville Police Department for 12 Years, earning the position of detective later in his career.
After starting his family, he continued to serve the people of Cameron County in his work with Child Protective Services and the Juvenile Probation Department. Ramiro lived his life through simple pleasures such as his well-loved storytelling, dinner with his family, listening to music, going to the beach, and enjoying an ice cold Bud Light. He had a passion for helping others throughout his life and was loved by those he was surrounded by.
Ramiro was preceded in death by his grandmother Inez Vega Williams, and his father Ramiro Vega Espinosa Sr. He is survived by his wife Abigail, his three daughters Paula, Abigail Pamela, and Sofia Rose, and his two grandchildren Camila and Jaime Israel.
