Noe was born in Brownsville, Texas and graduated from Hanna High School in 1977. Noe began his tenured career with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) in 1985. After serving as a Tax Compliance Officer with the TABC for over 31 years; Noe enjoyed retirement by hosting weekly barbecues, riding his Harley-Davidson, watching the COWBOYS on Sundays, playing bingo, and fishing at the beach with family and friends. Notable recognitions include being responder during the disaster of the MI TIENDA AMIGO collapse in 1998, and being recognized by BISD in the Alumni Hall of Fame Ceremony in 2017. Our family is grateful to know that Noe is finally at peace.
Noe is survived by his wife, Maribel Gracia Castaneda; his brother Simon Castaneda (Sulema) and his sister Yolanda C. Riggins (Rick); his stepson Luis Castillo, his stepson Michael Castillo and his granddaughter Hazel Nalani Castillo.
Noe was preceded in death by his son Adam Castaneda; his father Jose Huerta Castaneda and his mother Maria Luisa V. Castaneda; his brother Aaron Castaneda and his brother Jose Castaneda Jr..
Mr. Castaneda also leaves many extended family members to cherish his memory.
A visitation for Noe will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526. A chapel service will occur Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn. A burial will occur Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers are Luis Castillo, Michael Castillo, Enrique Gracia III, Andrew Carrizales, Anthony Carrizales, James Gracia, Rick Riggins, Simon Castaneda, Enrique Gracia, Ruben Carrizales, Jaime Gracia and Luis Ramirez.
