It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Carmela, affectionately known as Maria D. Vela to some, a remarkable woman whose journey through life was marked by resilience, love, and selflessness. Carmela's early years were dedicated to her role as a housekeeper, a job she undertook for many decades, not merely as a means of livelihood but as a commitment to provide for her family.
Her life was a canvas painted with her passions - cooking, which she did with unparalleled skill and love, dancing, which saw her light up any room with joy, and a profound love for music that resonated deep within her soul. These passions were not just hobbies; they were the very essence of Carmela's vibrant personality.
Carmela's life was a series of commendable achievements. Despite the demanding nature of her work and the additional odd jobs she undertook, she managed to build her own home. This feat stands as a monument to her independence, fortitude, and unyielding determination.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Chapel Service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista followed by a burial service at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park.
