entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in Brownsville, TX. Maria Guadalupe Isabel was a loving daughter, sister, niece, friend and especially aunt. She loved taking care of all her nieces and nephews; especially Alfredo Garcia Jr., Saira Yazmin Morales, Miguel Angel Rivera, Jomario Rivera, Angela Michelle Rivera, and Alexia Garcia whom she raised in their early years. She was best known by them as "Tia Pita". She had her favorite aunt herself Graciela Contreras who took care of her, took her to new places, and loved her as her daughter. She worked at Wal-Mart for 17 years, as a sales associate in the Domestic Department.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cesar Salcedo Martinez, paternal grandmother Antonia Martinez, Maternal Grandmother Victoria Yzaguirre, paternal grandfather Romulo Cuellar.
Left to cherished her memories are her mother, Carmen Cuellar; siblings, Oralia Salcedo (Maviael Ortiz), Cesar Salcedo, Toni Morales (Juan Avila), Julie Garcia (Sergio Garcia), Ofelia Salcedo (Eduardo Rodriguez), Angela De La Cruz, 18 nieces and nephews; Cousins, aunts, uncles, and more family members.
We will like to give special thanks to Atrium Hospice, Solara Hospital, Valley Baptist Medical center, Spanish Meadows Nursing Home, Culto De Damas de Restauracion y Poder for the continuous assistance and prayers provided to Maria Guadalupe Isabel.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 1pm to 9pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm, continuing visitation will be on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 8am to 9pm. Services will conclude Saturday after the visitation.
