With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jose Guadalupe Perez, beloved father, son, and brother. Born of humble origins in San Fernando Tamaulipas, Jose was the youngest of three children. He was driven by his passion for work and adventure, and his dream of coming to the United States to see baseball games live in Dallas, Texas. Jose was a kind and generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a hard worker, and his dedication to his craft was admired by all who knew him. He was a loving father and was devoted to his family. Jose will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
Jose is survived by his son Xavier Perez Vidal; his daughter Maria Dolores Perez Garza; his daughter Maria Victoria Perez Vidal Aquino; his son Jose Guadalupe Perez; his son David Perez; and his son Jesus J. Perez; his widow Ofelia Vidal Perez.
Jose was preceded in death by his son Oscar Perez and his daughter Moira Perez Barrientos; his father Jesus Perez and his mother Gertrudes Munoz; his brother Jesus Perez and his sister Maria Facunda Moya; his nephew Fidel Perez, his niece Maria Esquivel Moya, his nephew Sergio Moya, his nephew Honorio Moya, and his grandson David Perez Jr..
Jose Guadalupe Perez also leaves behind 25 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
A visitation for Jose will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526. A continued visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn. A chapel service will occur Friday, June 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526. A burial will occur Friday, June 2, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526.
