Jose is survived by his spouse, Josefina Gonzales; his son Jose Gonzales; his son Carlos Gonzales; his daughter Vanessa Nicole Gonzales; his daughter Selena Araceli Gonzales; and his daughter Anne Marie Gonzales.

A visitation for Jose will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526. A chapel service will occur Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn chapel. A continued visitation will occur Monday, November 20, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn. A burial will occur Monday, November 20, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers are Jose B Gonzales Jr., Carlos Gonzales, Vanessa N Gonzales Rivera, Selena A Gonzales, Anne M Gonzales, Antonio Gonzales Jr. and Eduardo Gonzales.
