Jose Garza

Jose Garza, 88, of Brownsville, TX passed away on January 5, 2017, at Valley Regional Hospital in Brownsville TX. He was surrounded by his wife and loved ones. Jose Garza was born in Panalito, Mexico on March 12, 1928 to the late Jose Delores Garza & Maria Gonzales. He was also preceded in death by 6 of his 7 siblings. He was a retired carpenter from Local Union 839. Jose enjoyed playing music, especially in his home parish, Christ the King Catholic Church. The community enjoyed the Rosaries he hand-crafted in his retired years & were enjoyed by many. He is survived by his devoted wife, Elva Garza of 67 years. His 9 children will always remember him as the greatest “Daddy” ever. Janie C. He was also a loving grandfather (Buelo) to 22 grandchildren and great grandfather to 32 great grandchildren.

A wake will be held at Del Angel Funeral Home on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 12pm – 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm.

Mass will be held at Christ The King Catholic Church , 2255 Southmost Rd, Brownsville TX, on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 12pm followed by Funeral services at Buena Vista Burial Park.
