survived by his wife of 46 years, Rosemary; his children and their spouses: Rene and Margarita,
Lisa and Ivan, Amanda and Dan, and Armando; as well as his siblings. He is also survived by
eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mando was born on September 14, 1948 to Ignacio Armando Flores Sr†. and Ofelia Ramos†, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his beloved grandmother,
Julia Recio†.
Mando proudly served his country in the United States Army in both the Vietnam War and the
Iraq War. He served three tours in Vietnam and one in Iraq. He was honorably discharged from
service with the rank of Sergeant First Class.
In life, Mando was a proud father and loving grandfather, a devoted member of the church, and a lifetime member of the American Legion & the VFW. He rests now in the merciful arms of his Lord, Jesus, and in the loving embrace of his ancestors.
Serving as pallbearers will be his son Rene Hernandez. Son-in-law Dan Garcia. Brothers Carlos & Hector Cano. Cousin Rocky Rocha and friend Al Morefield. Honorary pallbearers will be the
American Vietnam Veterans Chapter 1.
A visitation for Ignacio will be held Monday, March 21, 2022 from 3:30pm- 9:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 12:00pm at Holy Family Catholic Church. Followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park.
