Mr. Casares was born on April 26, 1926 in Pharr, Tx. At the age of 16, eager to serve his country, he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force. He served proudly for 28 years; serving through WWII, The Korean War & Vietnam.
After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, he returned to the Valley and was employed at the Cameron County Sheriff’s Department.
He was a hardworking man, dedicated to this family, church, and country. He is loved by his family and friends and will be missed dearly.
Enrique is preceded in death by his brothers, Rufino Casares and Roberto Casares; sisters, Consuelo Pinkerton and Andrea Sanchez;
He is survived by his wife, Elvia G. Casares; 6 children, Sonia J. Corbeil (Jean-Baptiste), Abel G. Saenz (Gabriela), Diana Casares, Karen, Michael and Ricky Casares; 4 grandchildren, Michelle Corbeil, Jean Baptiste Corbeil, Jonathan Saenz and Jacob Saenz.
Visitation will be held from 9am to 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm today, Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
A chapel service will be held at 10am Friday, June 22, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista with a committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jean-Baptiste Corbeil, Abel Saenz, Luis Ibarra, Abel Saldaña, Efrain Aaron Bazaldua, Leonel De La Cruz III. Honorary pallbearers will be Rene Corbeil, Billy Pinkerton and J.B. Corbeil.
