Eduardo Shears "Ed" Flores entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 17, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. SGT. Eduardo "Ed" Flores #134 retired in June 2000 after 27 years of dedicated services to the citizens of Brownsville. He was also an Army Veteran who served proudly in Vietnam during 1968-1969 with the 9th Infantry, Army Combat Veteran.
Mr. Flores is preceded in death by parents, Eulogio Coco Flores and Lizzie Shears Flores and brother, Eulogio Coco Flores Jr. Ed's memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 48 years, Herlinda R. Flores; daughter, Christina Flores; sons, Eduardo R. Flores and Alejandro Flores; grandchildren, Lizzie Summer, Eduardo Cruz, Alejandro Jr. and Joselyn Jade; sisters, Virginia Garza, Gloria Coronado, Ester Polreis and Elma Morales; brothers, Roberto Flores and Reynaldo Flores.
Visitation for Mr. Flores will be held from 1pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm Friday, July 20, 2018 at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista. Mass will be celebrated at 10am Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral, followed by committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park. Pallbearers will be The Brownsville Police Department, Military honors to be conducted by Veterans of Foreign War post 2035
