Rev. Robles was born in Brownsville, Texas on September 18, 1939 to Anastacio Robles+ and Aurelia Perez Robles+.
Mr. Robles married the love of his life, Elizabeth Lopez Robles on November 18, 1960 and then again 50 years later in 2010. Their love produced three beautiful children, Robert Lee Robles, Sandra Yvonne (Mark) Shank, and Ruth Elizabeth Robles; and five precious grandchildren, Dale Aaron Shank, Brandin Lee Shank, Rafael Molina Jr., Brittany Nicole Shank, and Taylor Elizabeth Molina.
Mr. Robles began his career at Daniel Motors in 1959. He then worked for Robertson Tank Lines in the early 1960’s.
In 1970, he moved his family to Houston, Texas where he worked with his brother, Ruben Robles at Robles Automotive. In 1972, he moved his family back to Brownsville, Texas and began working for Texas Southmost College for the next 10 years as a Professor of Diesel Mechanics, in which he wrote the curriculum for. While working at TSC, he also worked for DSI Transports as a manager. In 1984, he began working for Brownsville Urban System as a Maintenance Manager where he retired in 1997. He then worked in Austin, Texas for his nephew, Ruben Robles at Brazos River Construction as a District Director. In 1998, he became co-owner of A&A Truck Sales with his brother, Alfonso Robles, in San Antonio, Texas. In 2001, he and his wife moved back home to Brownsville, Texas to enjoy his family and retirement.
He became very involved with his church and wrote and recorded many Gospel songs that he sang in various churches. He began teaching at a local Pastoral College in the fall of 2013. On March 1, 2014, he received his Pastoral Certificate. He was a true man of God and is rejoicing with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ forever.
Left behind to eternally treasure his memory are his wife, Elizabeth Robles; three children, Robert Robles, Sandra (Mark) Shank, and Ruth Robles; grandchildren, Dale Shank, Brandin Shank, Rafael “Ralf” Molina Jr., Brittany Shank, and Taylor Molina; brothers, Alfonso (Josefina) Robles, Joe Robles, Frank (Lupe) Robles, and Noe (Patty) Robles; sister, Chita (Mark) Crowe; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 from 11:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Prayer Service to be conducted at 7:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Chapel Service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 1:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, followed by committal service at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Ruben Robles, Alfonso Robles, Joe Robles, Noe Robles, Rafael “Ralf” Molina Jr., and Brandin Shank.
