He was born October 20, 1937 in Alton, Illinois and came to this area 12 years ago from New Tampa, Florida. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Ranger. He was the Executive Vice President at Rockwell Automation and was of the Lutheran faith.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Penning; son, Andrew Guy Penning of St. Petersburg, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Renee and Michael Pendelton of Spring Hill, Florida; and three grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, with Pastor Thomas Almond officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moffitt Cancer Center.
