PADGETT, Richard G., age 78 of Brooksville, died Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Bayfront Health Brooksville. Born in Shelby, North Carolina he came here 50 years ago from Boone, North Carolina. Dick was a 1967 graduate of Appalachian State University and after receiving his law degree in 1972 from Stetson University College of Law, he opened his firm in Hernando County in 1973, and was still in practice today. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and was an avid golfer and member of Brooksville Country Club.
Survivors include his son: Allen T. Padgett of Maitland, FL; daughter: Suzanne Padgett of Apex, NC; sisters: Terry Padgett of Helen, GA and Linda McCauley of Mobile, AL; 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Dick’s family will receive friends for a memorial visitation, 3 – 5pm, Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville.
