He was born July 2, 1933 in the Bronx New York and came to this area 33 years ago from Spring Valley, New York. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and an air traffic controller supervisor for over 30 years at LaGuardia Airport in New York.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol Spadafino who passed away 11/28/2018. He is survived by step-son & daughter-in-law: Clyde Garlick & Kathy Bell of Hillsboro, Missouri; step-daughter: Hope Garlick; daughter-in-law: Jacqueline Solivan of Long Island, New York; step-daughter and son in-law: Donna & Sven Riley of Spring Hill Florida:8 grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3-5:00pm, Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill chapel. Interment will be at 11:30am, Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
