Lorie was born in Tampa, Florida on 6th January 1964.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gary Joyce Sr.; her children, Gary Joyce Jr. (Jennifer Joyce), Julie Weissman (Chad Weissman), and Jordan Polk (Jeremy Polk); her grandchildren, Locke Weissman, Kennedy Weissman, Robby Joyce, Abagail Joyce, Molly Joyce, Kyler Polk, and Caden Polk.
She dedicated her life to uplifting others, volunteering, donating blood, and the development of children through her career as the Director of Childcare at the YMCA. Her love language was gift giving, and often would show her love by both small and great gestures. She spent her years of retirement crafting and crocheting for her family.
Lorie’s greatest pleasures were spending time with her family and bringing a smile to their faces. Lorie loved God and Country and she proved with her good deeds and works that an average person is capable of great things. Her love was contagious and everyone who had a good heart loved her dearly in return.
God gained another soldier of truth, justice, and temperance as he called her home to the place he has set for her. Therefore, as her husband in holy matrimony, I hand her over to our Lord and Savior, Jesus. I will cherish my life with her, as no other can compare. She is wonderful in all aspects and our love is and has been unconditional. She will forever be greatly missed.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at the Regency Oaks Civic Association at 3pm on 28th April 2024.
