There were 35 officers in our 1950 class and five of us are all that remain.  Jesse was known as "Pic" and he was as likable as anyone I've ever met.  We became friends and remained so until the day he died.  I shall miss him and have fond memories of him until the day I die. When we remember Jesse we think of 2 characteristics- a true gentleman and one considerate of others.We always enjoyed chatting with him on our morning walks.  Particularly we remember one day when he was almost home and we were just starting down Caliquen. He mentioned that we had better hurry because it looked like rain and we both when on our way.  When we were about half way around it started to pour rain.  Within a minute here came Jesse in his car to drive us home.  That's the kind of thoughtful and considerate neighbor he was.  We will miss seeing him in Hernando Oaks.

Jesse was a number one official a leader of men as a Captain on the US Park Police. He was always pleasant and nice to talk with. Rest in Peace Jesse. Your friend Tony Ferraro

Dear Emma Lou and Family,Jesse was an Officer and a Gentleman. He was my supervisor for more than a year in the 1972-1973 time frame. He was a good motivator, and always had a smile on his face. I will miss the telephone conversations Jesse and I had every few months in recent years. His voice and personality seemed the same to me last month as they did in 1973. I invited Jesse and Emma Lou to attend our Annual Get Together held at the Hyatt/Dulles Hotel in September this year. Jesse said they would really like to come, but they could not find anyone they could count on to watch after Ami while they were away. Ami is their precious little dog. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very sad time.Rest In Peace Jesse, Charlie

Dear Pickeral Family:When I learned of Jesse's death I was filled with a deep sadness as I do with the passing of each of my brothers in law-enforcement that I worked with.  I pray you will find comfort in knowing that he lived a happy and joyful life.  He was a man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and had the pleasure of working with him on the U.
