Ethel Ward

Born September 16, 1928 in Gilbert, Louisiana, she was daughter of the late Wiley L. and Georgia McDaniel and was one of ten children.  After residing in Vidalia, Louisiana, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 2001 and eventually settled in Webster in 2018.  She worked as a dental assistant and was a member of Ocean Park Baptist Church in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.  She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and quilting.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Ward.  She is survived by her daughter: Amelia Williams of Webster, Florida; brothers: Lannie McDaniel of Beaumont, Texas and Norman McDaniel of Fort Necessity, Louisiana; sister: Maydell Smith of Winnsboro, Louisiana; grandchildren: Leslie Ackerman of Jacksonville, Florida and Donald Edmonson of Waterbury, Connecticut;

great-grandchildren: William Edmonson and Samuel Ackerman (Kayla);

great-great-grandchildren: Zane Ackerman and Jaxon Ackerman.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the HPH Hospice Care Center.
