ZEIGLER, David Lee, age 70 of Lutz, Florida passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Advent Health, Tampa. Born October 31, 1950 in Bloomington, Illinois, he came to the area 35 years ago from Peoria, Illinois. He was a computer programmer, software designer, an avid golfer, volunteered at Moffitt Cancer Center, was a fan of the Tampa Bay Rays, Lightning, Buccaneers, and was a season ticket holder to the USF Bulls Women's Basketball. He is preceded in death by a brother, Howard Dean Zeigler.
He is survived by ex wife: Joyce Comptom of Spring Hill; sons and future daughter-in-law: Andrew and Sarah (Costa) Zeigler and Kristopher Lee Zeigler all of Lutz, Florida.
Funeral service will be at 2pm, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Merritt Funeral Home, 4095 Mariner Blvd, Spring Hill, Florida. A visitation for family and friends will be prior to service from 12-2pm. Entombment will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens.
