Our lovely mother was born on May 25, 1942 in Berlin, Germany, was the daughter of the late Erwin and Hedwig Hoffmann, and was Roman Catholic by faith. She came to Brooksville 60 years ago from Germany. She was passionate about her God, Jesus Christ, her bibles, her kids, grand-kids, great-grand-kids, and her family back in Germany.
Mom was a devoted and forever loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-Oma. She is preceded in death by her strong, forever loving, husband of 52 years, Retired Sergeant First Class Harry Eric Jones Jr. of the United States Army.
She was fun, respectful, strong, and a forever loving and respectful mother who always calmly spoke with respect to everyone. She had passions for her kids, reading books, writing, knitting, sewing, gardening, fishing, hunting, and teaching her kids to love themselves, each other, animals, your neighbors, and the world, as our Creator would do.
She is survived by her five children: son, Harry Jones III and his wife, Diane, of Springfield, Missouri; son, Kenneth Jones and his wife, Lisa, of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Debra Miyahara and her husband, Ty, of Boerne, Texas; son, Robin Jones of Brooksville, Florida; daughter, Sheila Harper and her husband, William, of Brooksville, Florida. With hugs and kisses. Please Mom, continue to lead and guide us closely and we will see you soon ~ Love you. She was a forever loving grandmother of six, Travis, Steven, Christopher, Michael, Rachel, and Callie; a forever loving great-Oma of four, Lucas, Leah, Micah, and Jackson; forever loving to her nieces and nephews, Kelly, Mike, Rachel, Ty, and Lisa; and she was a forever loving and caring person to all her fur and feathered babies.
Thank you for everything in our lives Mom. She loved life in her way. Never wanted to stray or rush into bad decisions. She spoke with regards and accountability in life. She was your copilot and best friend, and there when we needed her. Mom, the full-time military life with five kids was not always easy. And looking back on it all, you really were the foundation and the rock of our family. You loved the Lord with all your heart, and you are Home.
A Graveside Service will be held at 12:30pm, Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Florida National Cemetery where she will join her beloved husband.
God Will Make A Way
God will make a way
where there seems to be no way.
He works in ways we can not see,
He will make a way for me.
He will be my guide,
hold me closely to His side,
with love and strength
for each new day,
He will make a way,
He will make a way.
