It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert V. Fulco announces his passing on September 23, 2023, in his home. Robert was born in 1950 and raised in Brooklyn from parents Vincent and Theresa Fulco along with brothers Anthony and Ronald.
In 1973, he married his loving wife Linda and enjoyed a 50 year journey together. Once Robert graduated the academy with the Fire Department of New York in 1977, they started to build a beautiful home and family together with the birth of their daughters Lorianne and Kristine.
His strong work ethic and dedication earned him the respect of his colleagues, family and community. He enjoyed being the firehouse chef and organized the best company picnics and Christmas parties; always making sure there was plenty to eat and that the kids were entertained.
In 2001, Robert exemplified true heroism as a 9/11 first responder and dedication to his city as part of the rescue and clean up effort in the weeks following. In 2002, he decided to retire after 25 years of service.
In his retirement, he continued being a pillar of his community by being involved with the Knights of Columbus. He found happiness as part of another brethren organization that focuses on community and has been honored as a 4th Degree Knight. Continuing his traditions with FDNY he often helped with organizing parties and made sure the place was in tip top shape by refurbishing the bar. He was beloved by all and always happy to help.
In his later years, he also enjoyed traveling, going to Rangers' games, cooking for the holidays, and was full of joy becoming a Grandfather. He was fond of sharing his passion for cooking with James and being a comfortable place to sleep for Vincent.
His best days and nights were found in the company of his family and friends. He would never turn away a sit down over a cup of espresso with a biscotti in hand. He cherished moments spent with his loved ones, creating lasting memories that will be treasured for generations.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife Linda, his daughters Lorianne and Kristine, his two grandchildren: James and Vincent, and his brother Ronald. Together, they will carry forward his legacy of patience, dedication, resilience and unwavering family values.
Join us in honoring a remarkable man who touched the hearts of all who knew him and whose spirit will forever live on in our cherished memories.
