Gerald (Jerry) Plunkett, a resident of Park Slope, Brooklyn for many years, passed away on May 23, 2024, at the age of 83. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Elvira Plunkett, his sister and brother-in-law Janet and Howie Sr. Dupont. The cherished brother of John ( Roddy ) Plunkett and his late wife Mary. Beloved uncle to Howie Dupont Jr, Laurie ( Dupont ) and Christian Zeimet, Michelle (Dupont) and Brian Mitchell, LeeAnn ( Plunkett ) and Nick Moreback, and John and Megan Plunkett along with his 6 great nieces and nephews.
He was a loving father and co parent with Connie Domino, to daughters Dianna ( Domino ) Catapano, Linda ( Domino ) Kluisza, and Laura Domino. Also, father in law to the late Anthony Catapano and Eddie Kluisza, grandfather to Anthony Vincent Catapano, Luke Kluisza, and great grandfather to Destiny Catapano.
Jerry was a longtime patron of Farrell's Bar. He was known and loved for his big heart, candid , and unapologetic style. His family and loved ones will miss him forever and he will never be replaced.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at M.J. Smith Sons, 255 Ninth Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215. A mass of christian burial will occur Monday, June 3, 2024 at 10:45 PM at Holy Family St Thomas Aquinas, 249 9th St, New York, NY 11215.

A committal service will occur Monday, June 3, 2024 at Green-Wood Cemetery, 500 25th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232.
