Domenico Torre

Beloved husband of the late Salvatora. Loving father of Nino Torre, Mario & Betsy Torre, Sebastian & Jennifer Torre, Carmelo & Rosemarie Torre and Graziella & Abraham Polanco. Dear grandpa of Mario, Anthony, Crystal, Nickolas, Carlin, Domenick, Sebastian, Tyler, Abraham, Hunter, Rosaria, Jake, Sophia, Mario, Domenick, Vincent, Valentina, Allegra and Nico. Domenico is also survived by his sisters, Salvatora Sottile and Nunziata Genovese.

When Domenico came to America, he kept alive some of his traditions such as making his home-made wine, which he loved to share with his grandchildren, and making homemade sauce from fresh, ripe tomatoes. He loved to cook for his company, which he loved having over and meeting. A genuinely good-hearted person, his door was always open and loved sharing stories with anyone who would listen. Watching soccer was one of his favorite pastimes. Keeping those traditions and memories alive is one sure way Domenico will live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved him!

A visitation for Domenico will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home, 2005 West 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11223. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, 185 Van Sicklen Street, Brooklyn, NY 11223. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 391 Sharott Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10309.
