Bruce Gilbert Saunders

Bruce, fondly known as “White Bruce” was born to Vera and Gilbert on November 29, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY. Bruce was a Navy Vietnam Veteran and after serving he went on to have a career as a systems analyst at IBM. Bruce enjoyed being with his family and friends, many trips to the beach especially to Bay 8 in Coney Island, he loved music with a fondness to Jazz and was the last one off the dance floor. Exercise was so important to Bruce especially his long bike rides. He was a good listener and always offered advice to his family and friends.

Bruce is survived by his former wife Janet Saunders and his four children, daughter Samantha and her husband John Samoylo and his sons Douglas, Jeffrey, and Ryan. He is also survived by his grandson John (JD), his brother Robert and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service for Bruce will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Green-Wood Crematory, 500 25th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232.
