Sally H. (Sinaiko) Dogon

Sally H. (Sinaiko) Dogon, age 91, passed away peacefully and comfortably, at home, December 12, 2023 surrounded by family.

Sally was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Freda (Fine) Sinaiko of Chicago, IL and Joseph Sinaiko of Kapulia, Belarus. She was educated at the University of Wisconsin, class of 1954, and received a Masters of Speech Pathology from Boston University. She worked as a Speech Pathologist in the Wayland Public School system prior to starting her family.

It was in Boston, on a blind date, that she met her husband of 59 years, Israel L. (Leon) Dogon. In 1964 they settled in Wellesley Hills, MA, raised their family, and spent summers on the Cape in Dennis Port, MA. Sally and Leon were avid travelers, visiting many parts of the world, and enjoyed spending the winter months in Venice, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon. She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Andrea (Mike) and Temi (Sean); son, Alex (Claudine); and grandchildren, Riley, Emma, Sam, Carly, Tessa, Avery, and Isaac. She had many loving family members all over the United States and the world.

Sally is remembered by everyone who knew her as a kind, caring, and intelligent person. She had a genuine interest in people and their well-being. After living more than five decades in Wellesley, she was well known and greeted warmly by her local bank and other merchants. She was a curious person by nature, and read The Boston Globe and other local papers daily.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her devoted caregiver, Natalia, and her team who provided exceptional, loving care.
