Richard Neil Pascar, age 63, of Hollis, NH, formerly of Winthrop, MA, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 1, 2023. Richard was born in Boston, MA and he is the son of the late Murray Pascar and survived by his mother, Gloria Pascar of Deerfield Beach, FL.
Richard grew up in Winthrop, MA and was a graduate of Winthrop High School. He was a veteran of the Armed Forces. He enlisted at age 17 and served for 9 years in both the National Guard and U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer and Medevac.
For several years, Richard was an active member of the Merrimack Valley Antique Bottle Club. He was passionate about antiques and enjoyed learning about their history through his research. He loved fishing and always carried a rod ready to cast. He would venture out hiking or take long drives exploring the beauty of New England. Richard was a self-taught musician and would pick up the guitar to jam with friends at many gatherings.
In addition to his mother, Richard is survived by his sister Jodi and husband Ira Adler of Nashua, NH and sister Amy Pascar of Winthrop, MA. He was an uncle to Jessica, Victoria, and Charles, as well as great-uncle to Hunter and Devin. He is in the hearts and minds of all his extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 12:00PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington St. Canton, MA 02021. Burial to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St. Sharon, MA 02067.
Shiva will be observed at the home of Jodi and Ira on Wednesday (September 6) from 12:00-6:00 PM, Thursday (September 7) from 12:00-6:00 PM, and Friday (September 8) from 10:00AM-4:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Richard’s honor to Veterans Programs, such as the Wounded Warrior Project or K9s for Warriors.
