Leo Miller

Leo Miller, age 95, of Mashpee, formerly of Falmouth, Boston and Framingham, on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Beloved husband of Marcia Wagner and the late Barbara (Hermanson) Miller. Loving father of Stephen Miller, Caryl Shaw & her husband Gary, Philip Miller & his wife Leah. Adored and cherished grandfather of Brit Shaw & her husband Joe Nagelberg, Ali Shaw, Benjamin, Matthew and Sarah Miller, and Ariana and Matthew Coppola.Dear brother of the late Pauline Alter, Bob Miller, Frances Heffron, Eddie Miller and brother-in-law of Ellie Weber. Favorite uncle to all his nieces and nephews and their families.

Leo graduated from Simmons College with a Master’s in Social Work. He was a pioneer in developing in-house counseling services in a corporate setting. He was responsible for the counseling department at the Polaroid Corporation at a time when few companies recognized the importance of employees’ mental health. He was the manager of this department for over 25 years and also served as a consultant to upper management at several other organizations.

Leo loved his family and enjoyed playing golf, following Boston sports and watching old Western movies. People were drawn to Leo’s warmth, sense of humor and understanding nature. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
