Gloria “Cookie” (Porter) Brecher, formerly of Newton Centre, died peacefully in her sleep in her home at Cedars on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at age 94. Beloved wife of the late Julius. Devoted mother of Carol & Dr. Stuart Gilbert of Falmouth, Maine. Loving grandmother of Drs. Scott and Lisa Gilbert, Alison and Jeff Tarmy and great grandmother of Jessie, Zachary and Noah Gilbert, Hannah and Megan Tarmy. Dear sister of Harold Porter and the late Elliott Porter. Fond aunt to her nieces and nephews. Services at the Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon on Friday, April 14 at 2:00pm.
