Devoted father of Dr. Andrew Kaplan & his wife Linda Johnson Kaplan and Wendy Kaplan Miller & her husband Andy Miller. Loving grandfather of Ryan & William Kaplan and Sam & Henry Miller. Dear brother of Marshall Kaplan and Ann Swartz. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline on Thursday, January 29 at 11:00AM. Interment at the Adath Jeshurun Cemetery, 350 Grove Street, West Roxbury.

Following the interment, memorial observance will be at his late residence through 5:00pm, continuing 7-9pm, Friday 1-3pm and Saturday 7-9pm. Alan was a retired partner at the law firm of Morgan, Brown and Joy in Boston where he practiced law for 38 years.
