Walter Leonard Jacques, 98 of Brentwood, Tennessee peacefully passed away on December 1st, 2024. He was born May 11th, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Leeroy Jacques and Gladys Mae Jacques. His early life was spent serving in the United States Navy and was a combat veteran of WWII and part of the D-Day invasion, in addition served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged 1952. He married his love Amy Jewell Sullivan in Aliceville, Alabama on August 10th, 1952. Thereafter, they resided in St.Petersburg, Florida. Walter was a kind and loving father to one son and daughter. Walter worked in various areas of law enforcement for 40+ years, then transitioned into architecture where he was a draftsman. Later in his career he became a consultant for the design and construction of prisons and jails.
He is a member of the Masonic and Scottish Rite organizations. A true craftsman, his passion was carpentry and woodworking, building many of their homes. Walter is survived by his wife, Amy Jewell; children, Walter (wife Brenda) and Wendy Crumbley (husband Jeff); grandchildren, Lee Jacques (wife Grace); Justin Jacques. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.

A Memorial Service to honor Walter's life will be held on Saturday, December 7th, 2024 at 2:00pm at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home 9010 Church Street East, Brentwood, TN, 37027. Guests are invited to start arriving prior to the service at 1:30pm.
