Noma was married to James Richard Moyers in Pensacola, Florida, and together they built a loving family. She worked as a secretary for many years and dedicated herself to being a devoted homemaker. Described by those who knew her as strong, utterly fearless, and fiercely protective of her family, Noma’s love and support were constants in the lives of her loved ones.
In her free time, Noma enjoyed sewing, a creative outlet that allowed her to express her nurturing spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and the importance of family.
Noma is survived by her beloved husband, James Richard Moyers; sons, Michael W. Moyers, James D. Moyers, and J. Philip Moyers; and cherished grandchildren, Drew Moyers, Sara Moyers, and James Moyers. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Knott, and sister, Daisy Kilpatrick.
In Noma’s own words: “Don’t wait until you have cancer to learn what’s important. Be good to your family while you can.” Her wisdom and spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
