A graduate of Hume Fogg High School, Lydia was primarily a homemaker but worked part-time at Cain-Sloan and later in her husband's dental practice. She was a member of the Valley Green Garden Club and also enjoyed time with her monthly "lunch bunch". Her greatest joy was cooking and caring for her family, as well as gardening and accompanying her husband on dental mission trips.
Lydia was a wonderful mother and grandmother who adored her family. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Dr. William M. Bradford; son, Dr. Thomas D. Bradford (Barbara); daughter, Mary Susan Bradford; grandchildren, Caitlan Bradford and John T. Bradford; sister, Margery Amonette. She is also survived by nieces Jean Thompson (Carey) and Lydia Bursi (Mike) and nephews Doug Amonette and Robert Bradford (Janet).
The Celebration of Life will be at Calvary United Methodist Church on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 12:30pm with Rev. Peter van Eys and Rev. BJ Brack officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.
Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church or to Hospice.
