Born in Bowling Green, KY, Frances graduated salutatorian from Sacramento (KY) High School and attended Western Kentucky University before marrying her childhood sweetheart, Harold Ferguson, in 1957. Frances worked at the United Methodist Publishing House in Nashville, helping to support Harold through medical school, and she lovingly managed house and family throughout Harold’s deployment to Vietnam.
