She married Herbert Wade, Jr. on March 18, 1978 at West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Nashville, Tennessee.
Mrs. Wade graduated from Hillwood High School in 1971 and received her Bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1975. She then received her Master’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Reading Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University in 1980.

Mrs. Wade was full of life, always ready to share a thought with a good “Deborah-ism” comeback. She never missed a hair or nail appointment and loved spending her free time with her family and friends. Mrs. Wade loved to travel out West to see the mountains and enjoyed relaxing at the beach. She adored girls’ days and shopping at craft fairs. Due to her love of true-life crime novels, Mrs. Wade envisioned herself as a detective in her next life.
Deborah spent many years as a member of Gilroy Church of Christ, where she was baptized, and then later joined Antioch Church of Christ with her husband, Herb, and daughters.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert, of Antioch and daughters Lindsay (Gene) Holt of Smyrna and Laura (Brent) Dalton of Beratzhausen, Germany.
