I was a co-worker of William's and we worked together for eight months(until I moved to a different department in late January); we would chat daily about with work-related issues, but if needed we'd go into a call for a more in-depth solution.  

He was very kind and receptive, but often apologized when he'd have a brief episode take place; I told him it was no issue at all to me and to not feel embarrased about it when it occurred. He confided in me about his conditon(only a handful of co-workers were on a need-to-know basis) and I never told anyone else about it either. 

 William was good at getting things moving when needed; sometimes in our department work tickets would just sit there, but he would aid in ensuring others were held accountable for their updates and getting those tickets worked(and eventually closed out). 

I will miss him and I offer my condolences to his family.
