Robert was born to the late Fleming Jackson and Easter Harris. He received his education in the public schools of Carmel Church, Virginia. After high school, Robert moved to Washington, DC., where he lived until his passing. He worked at multiple Embassy’s in the District of Columbia and established his own general contracting business.
Robert was a man who lived a life with a full heart. He had a deep love for music and dancing and some of his happiest moments were spent moving to the rhythm with his beloved Jean by his side. They shared dances and created memories that will be cherished forever. Robert also took great pride in his garden, where is love for nature bloomed in every corner. Yet, his greatest joy came from the time spent with his family, whom he adored beyond measure.
Robert will be deeply missed and leaves to honor his memory, his wife Jean for over 64 years; sibling; Margaret Jackson; aunt Zessy Carter his children; Deborah Jones (Norris); Carolyn Hall, (precedes his death); LaWanda Jackson; Kirby Jones (Lene`); Angela Edmonds (Edwin); Catina Boyd; Robert Evans (Josephine); a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
