Paul “Tuwe” Sullivan was born on November 9, 1958, in Cheverly, Maryland, to the late Thomas and Marion K. Sullivan. Paul passed away peacefully at 10:45 pm on March 11th, 2022, at Washington Hospital Center.
Paul attended Theodore Roosevelt Senior High School in Washington, DC. He worked 30+ years at The University of Maryland College Park helping bring beauty to the campus through landscaping. He also used his talents, passion, and skills of landscaping to help family, friends, and neighbors. He was also an entrepreneur in that he utilized his amazing people skills and big heart daily.
Paul loved his family very much and would do anything for them. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved to interact with everyone and always found a way to bring joy with any encounter. He would give great advice to young people, and many would appreciate and respect his wisdom. He loved to joke and bring laughter to any conversation. He was a kind person who always thought of others in every situation.
Paul is survived by his wife, Denise Bruton-Sullivan; his children: Brandon Moore, wife Courtney Moore and Byron Sullivan; his Grandchildren: Cecelia Guitroz and Braylon Moore; his brothers: Robert Sullivan, wife Emma (Jerri) Sullivan, Melvin Sullivan, wife Juanita Sullivan; his sisters: Arlene Young, husband Jerome Young, Deborah Gaskins, husband James Gaskins and Renay Sullivan-Green, husband Norris Green. Paul is also survived and loved by nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas Sullivan Sr, and Marion Sullivan; his brothers: Thomas Sullivan, and Wardell Sullivan.
